桂西壮族手皮纹的分析

本文对广西西部500例健康壮族大、中学生的手皮纹进行了观察分析,计算出各型指纹频率、指纹脊线总数、指纹频度指数、atd角度、a-b脊线数、τ距比、主线横向指数、皮纹花样出现率、掌褶纹出现率共九项基本参数,并将这些数值与汉族作了比较,桂西壮族的手纹与汉族既有相似之处,又有本民族的特点。     

中国3个地区汉族人群补体C6的遗传多态性研究

运用聚丙烯酰胺凝胶等电聚焦(PAGIF)和免疫吸引技术,研究了3个地区汉族人群的C6多态性。得到的基因频率如下:漳州市——C6*A:0.4634、C6*B:0.5000、C6*R:0.0366(C6*B2:0.0317);成都市——C6*A:0.4975,C6*B:0.4484,C6*R:0.0545(C6*B2:0.0395);哈尔滨市——C6*A:0.4708,C6*B:0.5219,C6*R:0.0073(C6*B2:0.0073)。蒙古人种的C6*A频率一般都低于0.5,高加索人种的C6*A频率一般都高于0.6。黑人则介于两者之间。蒙古人种与高加索人种的另一个区别在于前者的C6*B2频率在0.03到0.07之间,而后者几乎没有C6*B2。     

Organization and rearrangement of immunoglobulin M genes in the amphibian Xenopus.

Sequences of immunoglobulin (Ig) cDNA clones of Xenopus laevis show that at least three different VH families are expressed in association with different JH elements and different isotypes of Ig constant regions. In genomic Southern blot analysis, the VH probes for each family hybridize to a distinct set of multiple DNA fragments. In contrast, the genomic JH elements and the IgM constant region gene are localized in a single DNA fragment of approximately 15 kb. Genomic VH elements contain regulatory sequences similar to those in VH genes of shark, fish and mammals and have a leader peptide sequence that contains an intron; they encode the VH region until residue 95 and have heptamer--23-bp--nonamer motifs similar to the rearrangement signal sequences (RSS) in all other vertebrate VH elements. The six genomic JH elements so far sequenced have a nonamer--23-bp--heptamer motif at their 5' end. These RSS motifs imply the existence of DH elements. The comparison of cDNA clones that contain similar constant regions but different VH regions or JH elements suggest rearrangement events. This is shown by Southern blot analysis of erythrocyte and B cell DNA with a JH probe. Thus, the overall organization of the Xenopus Ig gene locus is similar to that of mammals but strikingly different from shark.     

Production and characterization of a monoclonal antibody cross-reactive with most group A trichothecenes

A monoclonal antibody cross-reactive with most group A trichothecenes was produced by fusion of P3/NS-1/1-AG4-1 myeloma cells with spleen cells isolated from a BALB/c mouse that had been immunized with 3-acetyl-neosolaniol-hemisuccinate conjugated to bovine serum albumin. One stable clone, H159B1D5, which produced monoclonal antibody that bound with both T-2 toxin and diacetoxyscirpenol (DAS) was obtained after subcloning. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) revealed that the antibody belongs to the immunoglobulin G1 (kappa chain) isotype and had binding constants of 2.81 x 10(9), 1.05 x 10(9), and 1.57 x 10(8) liters per mole for T-2 tetraol tetraacetate, T-2 toxin, and DAS, respectively. The relative cross-reactivities of the antibody with T-2 tetraol tetraacetate, T-2 toxin, and DAS were 200, 100, and 20, respectively, with tritiated T-2 toxin as the marker ligand. The relative cross-reactivities for the above toxins were 667, 100, and 73, respectively, with tritiated DAS as the marker ligand. No cross-reaction with HT-2 and deoxynivalenol triacetate was observed in either system. By using this monoclonal antibody, an indirect ELISA for analysis of T-2 toxin was also developed. The linear portion of the standard curve for analysis of T-2 toxin in each analysis by radioimmunoassay and ELISA was in the range of 0.1 to 2 ng and 0.05 to 1.0 ng, respectively.     

Effects of traces of rare earth elements on the protozoanBlepherisma and on mice

The growth of the protozoanBlepherisma is stimulated by Lanthanum (La) at concentrations as low as 0.32 ppm. In mice Yttrium (Y) and Ytterbium (Yb) are absorbed, accumulated, and metabolized. Both rare earth elements (RE) exhibit a high affinity for teeth and bones, accumulation occurs and metabolism is slow. In the livers of RE-exposed mice, concentrations are variable. The liver is apparently capable of absorbing and discharging RE in a manner depending on metabolic activity. The main route of discharge for ingested REs is the alimentary canal. Exposure of pregnant mice to RE leads to rapid placental transfer of RE; 14.1% of the total amount of RE administered was detected in newborn mice. Young, developing organisms appear to be especially susceptible to RE accumulation.     

Cross-reactivity of antibodies against T-2 with deepoxide T-2 toxin

Two types of antibodies raised against T-2 toxin, namely anti-T-2-HS-BSA and anti-3 -Ac -NEOS-HS -BSA, showed good cross-reactivity with deepoxy T-2 toxin. Our results indicate that the epoxide is not an important epitope for the production of antibody against T-2 toxin     

天麻球茎中一种抗真菌蛋白的分离和部分特性

白天麻(Gastrodia elata)顶生球茎中分离并纯化了一种抗真菌蛋白(Gastrodia Antifungal Protein),简称GAFP。在马铃薯葡糖琼脂培养基上,4μg GAFP滴加在直径0.6 cm圆纸片上可明显抑制木霉(Trichoderma reesei)菌丝生长。从每千克鲜球茎中可分离得GAFP约20 mg。用SDS-PAGE和凝胶过滤层析测得该蛋白为单多肽链,分子量14.0kD;用离子交换结合法测得电点为8.1;富含Asn,Ala,Gly和Leu,但无Met,Cys和Pro。未经热变性或SDS处理的GAFP与考马氏亮蓝试剂不发生显色反应。GAFP不具有几丁质酶和β-1,3-葡聚糖酶活性。球茎外层组织富含这种蛋白,内层薄壁组织无此蛋白。认为GAFP在阻止真菌侵染当年生顶生和侧生球茎的防卫机制中起重要作用。     

Applied anatomy of the anterolateral femoral flap

A study of the source of the blood supply to the anterolateral femoral flap was carried out on 42 lower limbs of adult cadavers (among them 35 cadavers with injection of red latex and 1 with india ink into the arteries and 6 vascular cast specimens), and the surface locations of the vascular pedicle were detected on 50 healthy adults. It was found that the descending branch of the lateral circumflex femoral vessel was an ideal axial vessel. There are constant perforating branches of the myocutaneous artery or cutaneous branches from the intermuscular space to the anterolateral femoral skin. The area extends about 12 x 30 cm. Within the flap, the anterior branch of the anterolateral cutaneous nerve of the high is located. This flap has been widely used for free transplantation in China since 1983 with satisfactory results.     

Tubulin isotypes and their interaction with microtubule associated proteins

Summary To assay the functional significance of the multiple but closely related - and -tubulin polypeptides (termed isotypes) that are expressed in mammalian cells, we have generated a number of sera that uniquely discriminate among these isotypes. These sera have been used to demonstrate that there is no subcellular sorting of either - or -tubulin isotypes among microtubules of diverse function, either in cells growing in culture or in tissues consisting of cell types that contain specialized kinds of microtubule. In spite of this failure to segregate between functionally distinct kinds of microtubule, the fact that isotype-specific amino acid sequences have been strictly conserved over extensive periods of evolutionary time argues persuasively for a functional role for the different tubulin gene products. One possibility is that they are required for specific interactions with microtubule associated proteins (MAPs), and that tubulin isotypes have coevolved with different cell type-specific MAPs with which they must interact. We have tested this hypothesis by examining the distribution of -tubulin isotypes in mammalian cerebellum in relationship to the known patterns of expression of a number of MAPs, and find that these patterns correlate in the case of M 2 and MAP 3, and M 6 and MAP 1 a. These data, plus emerging data based on a structural analysis of tau, MAP 1 b and MAP 2 obtained via sequence determination of cloned cDNAs, are discussed in terms of the possible functional significance of tubulin isotype/MAP interactionsin vivo.     

Cloning and expression of human nebulin cDNAs and assignment of the gene to chromosome 2q31-q32

We have isolated two nonoverlapping cDNAs encoding human nebulin, a muscle-specific protein. Northern hybridization analysis shows that nebulin is encoded by a huge message at least 25 kb in length. By hybridizing two nonoverlapping cDNAs to DNA isolated from rodent X human cell hybrids, we assign this presumably single-copy gene to human chromosome 2; sublocalization studies indicate that the nebulin gene is on the long arm of the chromosome, in the region 2q31-q32.
